Het vereist echter dat de php5-xapian-module (evenals een paar extra applicaties) op de server worden geïnstalleerd om te kunnen werken. Deze functie was voorheen alleen beschikbaar in de medische versie, maar werd toegevoegd aan de reguliere Chamilo 1.8.8.4, net als het engagement van de officiële Chamilo-providers.

U moet deze functie inschakelen en een extra zoektag (dwz "Auteur") **definiëren voordat** u documenten uploadt, zodat deze kunnen worden geïndexeerd (en doorzoekbaar).
