# Red Social

Chamilo reconoce que una interacción social efectiva online es un importante elemento para el éxito del aprendizaje en línea. La utilidad de Red Social proporcionada en la plataforma está diseñada para apoyar a profesores y alumnos que deseen hacer uso de diversas herramientas de red social como parte integral de su experiencia de aprendizaje (y enseñanza). Éstas incluyen un perfil simple, sistema de mensajería global disponible para los usuarios y la posibilidad de crear grupos de interés. (Ten en cuenta que algunas de estas características necesitan ser habilitadas previamente por el administrador de la plataforma).
