# Assign a role to a learner

Once the role has been created, you must assign it to a learner:

* click on the *Assign roles* link ![](https://2324583860-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FlDtbPjZhax0iCyOmO06r%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-da40e704bf135a71b8e0988a884706e9733fc1c9%2Fgraphics315.gif?alt=media),
* select a learner to assign the role to,
* select the task to be assigned,
* select a date to achieve the objective of the role,
* click the *Validate* button.
