# Notebook

The notebook is a personal note-taking tool for learners. Each learner has their own private notebook within the course.

## How It Works

The notebook is a simple tool where learners can:

* **Create notes** — Write and save personal notes related to the course content
* **Organize notes** — Review, edit, and delete their notes
* **Keep them private** — Notes are visible only to the learner who created them

## As a Teacher

As a teacher, you should be aware that:

* The notebook is a **personal tool** — you cannot see your learners' notes
* It is useful as a **reflection tool** — encourage learners to take notes while studying
* Notes are stored within the course — they are not shared across courses

## Enabling the Notebook

The notebook tool appears on the course homepage if it is enabled. If you do not see it, check that it is not hidden (look for hidden tools on the course homepage).
