# Your Profile

Your profile in Chamilo contains your personal information and preferences. Other users on the platform can see parts of your profile depending on your visibility settings.

## Accessing Your Profile

Click your **avatar** in the top-right corner of the top bar, then select **Profile** from the dropdown menu. You can also access it from the **Social network** section of the sidebar.

## Profile Information

Your profile page shows:

* **Avatar** — Your profile picture. Click on it to change it.
* **Full name** — Your first and last name as registered on the platform.
* **Email** — Your email address. Other users can click it to send you a message within Chamilo.
* **Language** — Your preferred language, shown as a flag icon.
* **Additional fields** — Depending on your platform's configuration, you may see fields such as phone number, Skype handle, LinkedIn profile, or custom fields defined by your administrator.

## Editing Your Profile

To update your profile information, navigate to your account settings. From the user dropdown menu in the top bar, look for the **Account** or **Settings** option. Here you can:

* Change your name, email, and password
* Upload or change your avatar
* Update your preferred language
* Fill in additional profile fields (Skype, LinkedIn, etc.)
* Configure notification preferences

## Privacy and Visibility

Chamilo lets you control who can see your information:

* **Name visibility** — Choose whether other users can see your full name
* **Email visibility** — Control whether your email address is shown to others
* **Language visibility** — Show or hide your language preference

## Personal Data

Under **Personal Data**, you can review all the information Chamilo stores about you. This section includes:

* A summary of all data collected, organized by category
* Your acceptance status for the platform's **Terms and Conditions**
* An option to **withdraw your consent**, which will trigger an account deletion request that your administrator will process
