# Skills and Assessments

This is where skills connect to the gradebook: it's the bridge between assessment results and automatic skill awards.

## Accessing Skills and Assessments

From the administration panel, click **Skills > Skills and assessments**.

## What It Shows

A list of gradebook categories, with controls to link each one to a skill. Once linked, any learner who reaches that gradebook category's passing threshold is automatically awarded the associated skill — no manual step required.

This is the recommended way to award skills at scale: rather than assigning skills to users one by one, link the relevant gradebook category once, and let it apply to every learner who qualifies.
