H5P Import

H5P Import H5P Import lets you bring standard .h5p interactive-content packages (interactive video, quizzes, presentations, and other H5P content types) into a course, with learner attempts and progress tracked similarly to a Chamilo test.

Accessing the Tool

Once enabled, an H5P import tool appears on your course homepage, showing a table of the course's H5P packages with title, description, and how many times each has been launched.

Adding Content

  • Click Upload and choose an .h5p file, with a title and description, to add it to the course's list

  • From a Learning Path, use the resource panel's H5P entry to insert one of the course's uploaded packages directly as a learning path item

Tips

  • Design content before uploading — You cannot edit an H5P package once it's uploaded; fix it in your H5P authoring tool and re-upload if you need to make a change

  • Everything in the tool's list is visible to every student by default — If you want to control visibility item by item, add packages through a Learning Path instead, where you can manage each item's visibility individually

  • This is a beta feature — Treat it as usable but still maturing, and keep a copy of your source .h5p files in case you need to re-upload
