LTI 1.3 Advantage Provider

LTI 1.3 Advantage Provider LTI 1.3 Advantage Provider works the other way around from IMS/LTI Client: instead of Chamilo launching an external tool, it lets an external LMS (for example, a different Chamilo portal, or another platform like Moodle) launch one of your exercises or learning paths as if it were a tool inside that other system, with grades passed back to Chamilo.

What This Means for You

There is nothing to configure here as a teacher. Your administrator registers which of your exercises or learning paths can be launched this way, and by which external platforms, entirely from Administration > LTI 1.3 Advantage Provider.

If your platform uses this plugin, it simply means some of your students might reach one of your exercises or learning paths by clicking a link from a different system, rather than logging into Chamilo directly — the experience of taking the exercise or learning path itself doesn't change.

Tips

  • Ask your administrator if you're curious — If you want to know whether any of your content is exposed this way, your administrator can tell you which activities are registered
