Student Follow-up

Student Follow-up Student Follow-up lets you keep timestamped, tagged notes about a learner's progress and difficulties — a lightweight case-note system for tracking how a student is doing over time.

Accessing the Tool

Once enabled, a Student Follow-up entry appears in My Space (your reporting area), showing a searchable list of learners. Opening a learner's detail page and selecting their follow-up timeline shows every note recorded about them, in order.

This tool is only available to course coaches, HR/training managers (DRH), and platform administrators — not necessarily every teacher role.

Adding a Note

From a learner's follow-up timeline, click Add follow-up note and fill in:

  • A title and rich-text content

  • Comma-separated tags, to help you find related notes later

  • Private note — restricts visibility to admins and other authorized caretakers, instead of the whole teaching team

Tips

  • Use tags consistently — A short, consistent set of tags (e.g. "attendance", "motivation", "technical-issue") makes a learner's timeline much easier to scan later

  • Mark sensitive notes private — Use the private option for anything that shouldn't be visible to the whole teaching team

  • This is an early-stage feature — Expect it to be less polished than core Chamilo tools, and to change as it matures
