Global Statistics
Global Statistics is the platform statistics hub — a menu of platform-wide reports grouped by topic, rather than a single report.
Accessing Global Statistics
From the administration panel, click Reporting > Global statistics.
How It's Organized
Opening the page with no report selected shows a menu of available statistics, grouped into Courses, Users, System, Social, and Session. Selecting a menu entry loads that specific report on the same page. Each is a platform-wide, admin-only view — there is no course or session scoping here; for that, see Learning Analytics.
Courses
Courses — Total number of courses, broken down by course category
Tools access — Platform-wide count of tool access events (announcements, documents, forums, quizzes, chat, and so on)
Tool-based resource count — Pick one or more tools and see every course/session using them, with a resource count and last-updated date, sorted by usage
Latest access — Courses with their date of last access, limited to those visited within a configurable number of days (60 by default)
Number of courses by language — Courses grouped by their interface language
Courses usage — Visit counts per course across rolling periods (today, this week, this month, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, all-time), split between visits inside and outside sessions
Users
Number of users — Total trainers and learners platform-wide, and the same breakdown per course category
Logins — Login counts for today, the last 7 days, the last 31 days, and all-time, for both total logins and distinct users; can be filtered to a minimum session duration
Logins (Month) — The same login data totaled per calendar month across all history
Logins (Day) — Login totals per weekday, plus a separate breakdown for the last 7 days only
Logins (Hour) — Login totals per hour of day, plus a separate breakdown for the last 24 hours only
Number of users (Picture) — How many active accounts have uploaded a profile picture versus how many haven't
Logins by date — Each user's total connected time (login to logout) over a chosen date range, exportable to XLS
Not logged in for some time — How many users haven't logged in within trailing windows (today, 7 days, 31 days, 6 months), and how many have never logged in at all
Zombies — Accounts whose last login is on or before a cutoff date you choose (there's no fixed threshold — you pick the date each time), optionally restricted to active accounts, with buttons to activate, deactivate, or delete the listed accounts directly
Users statistics — Users registered within a chosen date range, with full profile details and summary charts, exportable to XLS
Users online — Live counts of users currently online and users currently taking a quiz, each shown across four time windows (3, 5, 30, and 120 minutes)
New users registrations — New registrations over a chosen date range (daily if the range is a month or less, monthly with drill-down otherwise), plus a breakdown of who created each account
Course/Session subscriptions by day — Subscriptions versus unsubscriptions per day over a chosen date range
Duplicate users — Finds accounts sharing the same name, e-mail, or a chosen profile field value; lets you disable, enable, or unify (merge) duplicates — merging permanently deletes the accounts folded into the one you keep
System
Portal user session stats — A grid of user counts broken down by access URL (on multi-URL portals), session, and course, for a chosen date range, exportable to XLS
The Quarterly report entry that also appears under System is covered separately in Corporate Reports.
Social
Number of messages received — Internal messages received, per user
Number of messages sent — Internal messages sent, per user
Contacts count — Social network contacts per user (excluding HR/supervisor-type relationships)
Session
Sessions by date — Sessions starting or ending within a chosen date range (optionally filtered by status): count, average sessions per week, average users per session, average sessions per tutor, breakdowns by category/language/status, and a per-course session count table
