Organizing with Categories

Categories help you group related links together:

  1. Click Add a category

  2. Enter a category name and optional description

  3. Save

Links within a category are displayed together, making it easy for learners to find relevant resources.

  • Link checking Validity — Chamilo can verify whether links are still active or broken

  • Edit Edit — Update the link's URL, title, or description

  • Visibility Visibility — Hide or show the link to learners

  • Delete Delete — Remove the link

You can export your link collection to PDF. Look for the Export option in the links tool.

Tips

  • Categorize by topic — Create a category for each module or week of your course

  • Add descriptions — Help learners understand why a link is relevant before they click it

  • Check regularly — Web links can become outdated or broken over time
